Welcome to the Tweehive Potting Shed. Make yourself comfortable whilst we explain how you - a website owner, sorry Gardener – can participate in Tweehive. On the three Tweehive days – 14th July, 7th August and 5th September – there will be lots of Bees out looking for flowers from which they can collect pollen and nectar. You can host a flower anywhere on your website – sorry Garden – where there is content relevant to bees, honey, pollination and any related sustainability material.
Through Twitter the bees will tell all their other buzzing friends about your Garden and, who knows, you could end up with a whole hive heading your way. Every time a bee visits your flower it collects pollen or nectar for the whole bee colony which then registers on the counters shown on the Tweehive homepage.
Here in the Potting Shed you can sign up to take part in Tweehive. Just complete and submit the form below, selecting the flower you'd like to appear in your Garden. You can also choose whether the flower appears bottom right or bottom left of the browser window. Remember, it only appears on the three Tweehive days and users have the choice to minimise it if they so choose.
On receipt of your form we'll send you a confirmation email containing a piece of javascript that you can cut/paste into the relevant page. There's a simple way to test it which we'll explain in the email.
